7. Canta al Mar

INTERKULTUR’s final Awards Ceremony in the 2018 choral season took place on Saturday evening, October 28, in Calella, Spain. All in all 29 Golden, 24 Silver and 3 Bronze Diplomas were awarded to the participating choirs. Altogether there were 42 participating choirs around the world. Our choir was awarded with golden diploma in A2 male choirs (higher level) and silver diploma in folk category. Congratulations to other winners as the competition was really strong!
It was a first international choir competition for our new chief conductor Kuno Kerge. He said that the main value of being there was finding the harmony between members inside our group and therefore growing stronger. It was a successful trip altogether and from here we will start conquering even higher goals in the future.
Now we are happily back at home and will concentrate on EMLS malechoir competition and XXIV Malechoir Singing Day of South-Estonia. Both of these events are dedicated to our Singing Father maestro Gustav Ernesaks who would have become 110 years old on this December.
