Once again, it’s time to come listen to and enjoy an Advent concert with a festive Christmas atmosphere, performed by three ensembles from the University of Tartu. The University of Tartu Symphony Orchestra, the University of Tartu Academic Women’s Choir, and the Tartu Academic Male Choir will together perform Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on Christmas Carols (featuring soloist Simo Breede), and the two choirs will jointly present Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s Denn er hat seinen Engeln befohlen and Pärt Uusberg’s Et kiitke Jumalat, kes on nii helde (“Praise God, Who is So Gracious”). In addition, each ensemble will also separately perform classic and heartwarming Christmas tunes. See you at the concert!
The concert will take place on December 9 at 7:00 PM at Tartu St. Paul’s Church.
