The new album by the Tartu Academic Male Choir is like a musical journey through the sounds, dialects, and historical memory of Estonia. It is a voyage that begins with the misty voices of Southern Estonia, moves through the sound of waves and the endless wind, pauses for a moment in the twilight of the forest, and ends in a bright light.
Tartu Academic Male Choir is traveling to North America to give concerts in both the USA and Canada, and to meet with local Estonians and communities!
The Tartu Academic Male Choir (TAM) released a new album this week, based on folk texts from Northern and Southern Estonia. This is the choir’s first album after a 17-year hiatus.
